Our nation’s tax structure has changed dramatically over the past few months. The brackets have shifted, deductions have REALLY changed, and the tax laws have been overhauled. With these changes come updated tax forms as well!

Tax ReformThe most popular form, the 1040 (or variations such as the 1040EZ) is used by a HUGE portion of the population when filing their yearly taxes. As promised, the form has diminished in size. I know most of us heard that the form would be simplified enough to “fit on a postcard”. It’s not exactly a postcard since tax filings have far too much personal information to not be mailed confidentially, but the form has shrunken to around half a page.

The form will likely still be tweaked between now and the start of filing season, but HERE is the latest revision if you’re curious.
